Friday 08 May 2026 — 09:00 / 12:00

Participants will have the opportunity to visit the Pomigliano d’Arco facility of Leonardo S.p.A., one of the world’s leading players in the aerospace, defence, and security sectors and a symbol of Italian technological and industrial excellence.

Established in the 1960s and currently employing around 2,700 people, the plant covers an area of approximately 300,000 m² and is a highly specialized center for aerostructure manufacturing and aircraft design. As a partner of the world’s leading manufacturers, the site is involved in the production and assembly of large structural components made of composite materials and metal, supporting major international programs such as ATR, Boeing 767, and Boeing 787.

The experience will begin with an introductory plenary session dedicated to the company’s structure and its main areas of innovation, providing participants with an overview of the challenges and opportunities faced by a highly competitive international group.

This will be followed by a guided tour of the production facilities, during which participants will have the opportunity to observe advanced industrial processes and high-technology environments at close range, including the Smart Factory solutions developed within the NEMESI project, which has transformed the site into a center of excellence in the sector.

An immersive experience designed to help participants understand the dynamics of large-scale innovation and to inspire them in shaping their future in engineering and advanced industry.
